Dr Glenn A. Davies is a writer from Brisbane, by way of Charters Towers, North Queensland.
His work has been published online in AntiSF, Griffith Review, and Independent Australia, as well as offline for Courier Mail, Northern Miner and Pageant. He is the author of six secondary school history textbooks, and is the web publishing manager for Queensland History Teachers’ Association.
Glenn has blogged monthly since 2006 on Australian republic issues, was convener for ‘Stories of the Australian Republic‘ speculative fiction short story competition (2009-2014), from which he edited Speculating on the Australian Republic: Five Award Winning Short Stories, and was named 2015 Australian Republican of the Year. In 2016 his short story The Sunshine Republic was published in 1,000 Words or Less: Flash Fiction Collection 1.
Glenn has been an Aurealis Awards Science Fiction Short Story Judge, has read slush pile for Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, and is a member of Vision Writers. In 2020 he published the science fiction short story ‘The High Frontier‘ in 2020 Perfect Vision anthology.
